Today is the day

Today is the day that Java comes home. I can barely imagine it, because of all the other things that have to occur today: go to work for an hour, meet with the farm insurance company, hang buckets, bed stalls, blah blah, it's crazy. Oh, and the barn is not done. The carpenter is definitely not getting any John Deere fruit snacks from me today. Figures, you spend every minute of a year planning this wonderful event, and it's such an awesome time, but yesterday found myself staring at the back end of the carpenter's van as he pulled out of the driveway of the unfinished barn because he had to run errands to get ready to go out of town. Would have been cool if he had stayed at least until 4:00. This is the scene right now, and it's darn close. Java won't know about the little things that are not quite right, but big boss Ken Sigfridson will come visit and take care of everything. Seriously, he and his company are that good. I just hope that Java and her buddy Creme settle in nicely, today. That would make all of this worth it. I hope so, it's such a nice barn!

All I can say is Java is one very lucky horse. I'm lovin' the barn! This is such an exciting day for both of you. Congratulations!

I can feel your excitement! Hell, I can't believe how excited I am! This is soooo great! Looks awesome. Best home Java has ever had and she has had some pretty classy digs.

What will I do when this is over? I'm hooked. I won't have a Java Barn blog fix every day.
