The weather is now decent ... temps in the 30's. Java and I had a wonderful ride on the property today. The 'fern path' had the nicest footing and Java seemed to love it, so we found ourselves going back and forth on it, what a nice ride. She is an absolutely wonderful horse and really enjoys it when we get out for rides.
This video is of us cantering up the path, but it ended up looking like a lot of Java's fuzzy mane and wind noise.
We built a barn at home to bring my wonderful horse Java home. This is the site to find out what is going on at our property; good, bad and funny. Now we have a post and beam horse barn for Java, a couple of lucky horses boarded, and are transforming the property utilizing our John Deere 2305 and John Deere 2320. Our black labrador Mackie supervises frequently, and our Bearded Collie named Bandy provides entertainment.

I admire your fortitude in getting out there in the snow. I'm quite the fair-weather rider, myself. But the weather here has been so darned perfect lately, well...I've gone riding every day this year! (I'll probably never be able to say that again and this seemed like the perfect opportunity - thanks!)
